We use electrical plugs regularly. These plugs are used to connect or appliances, devices, chargers, adapters, etc with AC mains. These plugs come in different ratings, sizes & more often in no of pins. Generally, we need only 2 pins to connect the appliance to AC mains, one for the incoming phase and another for neutral. So, why there is an extra-long and thick pin on the plug. What is the role of this extra pin? Why its made thick and long? and why there is a cut on plug pins?
