🛠 Switch from Lead Acid #Battery to #Li-ion Battery ✔ 🔩

Today Li-ion batteries are commonly used in mobile phones, electric cars, drones, and in many gadgets & toys. Still, in some areas, we are using old generation Lead Acid batteries, like in automobiles, invertors, UPS, and in some small gadgets. Lead Acid cells are cheap and have high energy storage capacity than Li-ion and are safer. But they suffer from a very serious problem called the memory effect. If lead-acid cells are not maintained properly, due to the memory effect these cells lose their actual capacity and finally died. And this is the case when the device containing these cells is rarely or very occasionally used. Whereas, Li-ion has no memory effect and maintains its charge over a longer span of time. This makes Li-ion batteries suitable for long-term use. Moreover, Li-ion batteries required less time to charge and are very compact.
In this video, we try to change the lead-acid battery of a bug zapper with Li-ion technology. In this conversion, I used Li 18650 3100 mAh cell with a USB-c li-ion charge controller.
